For vehicles 3 years or newer with under 36,000 miles, clean title, viewed in person. Designed for clean title lease returns, fleet or rental vehicles.
*Not right for every situation. The Gold inspection is not appropriate for salvage, rebuilt, or flood-damaged title vehicles, or for anyone purchasing from a distance or sight-unseen. Those situations require our Platinum Inspection.
Why inspect a newer car?
We get it, it's practically new, probably still under warranty. But newer doesn't mean trouble-free.
Many of the vehicles we're called to inspect are lease returns, fleet vehicles, or rentals. They look great on paper. Some have a spotless Carfax. And every day we find undisclosed paintwork, accident repairs, deferred maintenance, and hidden damage on "clean" low-mileage vehicles. There's nothing worse than paying top dollar for a near-new car that's already been through more than you bargained for.
Be an educated buyer — every vehicle deserves an inspection, no matter how new.
Our Gold inspection is a thorough but streamlined inspection designed with the newer/lower mileage vehicle in mind to save our clients money.
What the Gold inspection covers:
Designed specifically for the newer, lower-mileage vehicle, the Gold inspection is thorough where it counts:
- Engine & drivetrain inspection
- Fluid analysis
- Complete safety systems check (airbags & seat belts)
- Paint meter readings — identifies previous bodywork or accident repairs
- PastCheck history report included
DEQ (emissions) readiness testing including a general scan of the engine control module (depending on age) to verify emissions readiness tests and/or use of an exhaust gas analyzer to determine whether or not the vehicle will pass the Oregon DMV/DEQ requirements required to register the vehicle in Oregon. Depending on the age of the vehicle we can report if/when there have been any recent computer resets, engine misfires, pending issues, past issues, perform cylinder balance tests and more. Using an exhaust gas analyzer to test for potential internally failing head gaskets or mechanical engine performance issues by monitoring the exhaust stream When available – these are the same records that are available to companies such as Carfax When available including ownership information/title information/crash/damage recordsIncluded With Every Inspection
Your inspection report is emailed directly from the inspection within minutes of completion — a clear, plain-language PDF with items of importance highlighted, readable on any device.
How Gold differs from Platinum:
To keep pricing accessible on newer vehicles, the Gold inspection does not include a vehicle lift, a test drive, detailed cosmetic/condition notes, or certain component tests that primarily benefit higher-mileage vehicles. For a newer clean-title car viewed in person, these are rarely where the real surprises hide.
A better value than you'd expect.
For not much more than the cost of a history report alone, you get a hands-on professional inspection plus our PastCheck history report included. We inspect on-site wherever the vehicle sits: dealership, private seller's home, or workplace, whatever is most convenient.
90% of used car buyers still make decisions based on paperwork alone. Every day we find "Clean Carfax" vehicles with accident repairs and previous paintwork. Don't be one of them.

Scheduling Frequently Asked Questions
Check our availability calendar above: we're typically available from sunrise through about 3:00 PM weekdays only. We do not perform inspections on weekends.
How do I pick an inspection time?
You don't need to select a specific time — we handle that for you. On the morning of your inspection, we contact the seller directly to confirm the vehicle is still available and to coordinate a 30-minute arrival window that works for them.
Once that's confirmed, we'll notify you of the expected arrival time and your estimated report delivery time. There's nothing more you need to do — just wait for your report to land in your inbox the moment the inspection wraps up.
Do I need to be present for the inspection?
No — you don't need to be there. We inspect on your behalf and email the report the moment we're done. Most of our clients are at work or remote when we inspect.
If you're local, we recommend viewing the vehicle yourself first — online listings often hide cosmetic issues that would make an inspection unnecessary.
Out-of-state buyers: Add our HD video walk-around package at booking and you'll receive a full visual record of the vehicle alongside your written report — so you can see everything before committing to travel or a wire transfer.
Do you have any backup same-day availability?
Same-day slots are rare — our schedule typically fills days in advance. If same-day availability exists, it will appear as an option on the booking page. If you don't see it listed, we're not available that day.
