EV Inspection
Electric vehicles need a different inspection lens entirely — there's no engine oil or transmission to check, but there's a high-voltage battery system, charging equipment, and motor electronics that a standard inspection simply isn't built to evaluate. Our EV inspection replaces every irrelevant gas-engine checkpoint with EV-specific diagnostics.
What's included:
- High-voltage battery condition, state of charge, and cell balance readings
- Charging system check — onboard charger, charge port condition, and AC/DC inverter health
- Full diagnostic scan across every high-voltage module (motor, thermal management, battery management)
- Infrared thermal imaging to verify heated seats, defrosters, and climate systems are functioning correctly — a PDXinspections exclusive
- Motor and regenerative braking performance during the road test
- Vehicle history and service record review
Platinum Pre-Purchase Inspection
Our flagship inspection for gas and hybrid vehicles. A certified technician performs a comprehensive, bumper-to-bumper evaluation covering mechanical condition, fluids, structure, electronics, and a full road test — the same process used by dealerships, but working entirely in your interest as the buyer.
What's included:
- Engine, transmission, and drivetrain inspection with fluid analysis
- Paint, body, and structural integrity check (including paint depth measurements)
- Tires, brakes, steering, and suspension evaluation with measured tread/pad depth
- Full interior and safety systems check
- Live road test covering drivability, braking, and steering alignment
- OBD-II diagnostic scan across all available vehicle modules

PDXinspections PastCheck
A vehicle's mechanical condition is only half the story — its history matters just as much. PastCheck pulls together title records, accident history, ownership timeline, service records, and pricing history from multiple data sources into one curated, easy-to-read summary, so you're not left digging through three separate reports yourself.
What's included:
- Title brand, accident, and odometer checks from Carfax and AutoCheck
- Full ownership and registration timeline across states
- Dealer service history with mileage and service type at each visit
- Open recall status verified against NHTSA records
- Pricing and listing history — how long it's been for sale, and at what price
- A plain-language summary highlighting anything that actually matters for your decision
